My Flavor Of The Day
Tuesday, has me enjoying a timepiece, that brings some October, specifically Halloween colors to the table. After all, the day when everyone celebrates ghouls, goblins, and witches is quickly approaching. The Invicta, "Creamsicle" Grand Diver is my watch-of-the-day. The creamsicle nickname comes from the Orange-cream dial markers, and is one of the signature dial colors that Invicta has created.
The Grand Diver model has always been a favorite Invicta model of mine, mainly due to its slightly larger case size, 47mm, as opposed to the Pro Diver series, which ranges from 40mm - 42mm depending on the model, and tends to wear small on my wrists. The scalloped bezel is another design of the Grand Diver that appeals to me, but the Orange-cream markers, against the stark white dial, framed by the black bezel insert, offers a nice look on the wrist. And did I forget to mention that the dial on this piece is full lume!
To compliment the Orange markers on the dial, I had a custom, baseball leather strap designed, along with the Orange contrast stitching, specifically for the Grand Diver, and the combination turned-out magnificent. Much kudos go out to It's Baseball Time for the strap design.
As one of my Orioles-themed timepieces, I was obligated to pair this beautiful set-up, with a custom, calico bracelet, created by Beads By Gonzo. So although my Orioles had a losing campaign, my Wrist-Game this baseball season, was a winner!
