Hemel Air League Takes Flight

I'm pleased to share the upcoming release of the Hemel, Air League Chronograph. The Air League, is a Special Edition timepiece, and the introductory price of $299, is currently available, only to members of the League of Watch Microbrands Facebook Group.

The Hemel brand, is the brainchild of Marvin Menke, a design industry insider with 30 years experience. Marvin has used his expertise to create some of the most notable, and recognized, aeronautic and military-inspired timepieces, taking cues from mid-twentieth century, French Military Pilot instruments. Hemel's previous efforts, such as the Brabant, Stratus, and dive watch the Hydrodurance, are renowned among the watch collecting community, for their style, performance, and fit-and-finish.

To the uninitiated, this special, Air League Chronograph offering, will most certainly be an exciting introduction to the Hemel brand. The Air League Chronograph represents a refreshing interpretation of the pilot and field watch genre. But the most important aspect of the Air League Chronograph, is representing the importance of the prolific microbrand community, to the watch industry as a whole.

So What's the Big Deal?

Let's just start with the Seagull ST1901, manual, hand-wound movement powering the Air League Chronograph, certainly not your basic, run-of-the-mill quartz, or automatic movement. The finishing work, and decoration on this movement is simply stunning.

The dial, chronograph layout, and sub-dial dimensions of the Air League Chronograph exhibit perfect balance, with the sand colored numerals and hands, and white index markers, offering the perfect visual contrast for this chronograph; as a pilot or field watch, an easy to read dial, is a necessary prerequisite. The overall aesthetics of this timepiece, will result in an amazing presentation on the wrist.

The Nitty Gritty

As a special offering, this timepiece would have plenty of bang-for-buck at the expected regular pricing of $499.99, but for the League of Watch Microbrands members, special offering price of $299, this timepiece is loaded! Here are some of the technical specs packed into the Air League Chronograph:
