Never let it be said that I'm not up for trying something new. My typical adult beverage of choice is a soft drink, most likely diet Coke, mixed with some type of rum or liquor, or the occasional beer; wine is something that typically doesn't register in my realm of consciousness, but when in Rome!
My Wife, on-the-other-hand, has developed a taste for Wine, in recent years, and wine is pretty much her go-to, adult beverage of choice these days. To say my Wife doesn't enjoy the same passion that I do for watches, would be the understatement of the year. Recognizing her growing taste in Wines, I decided to join a wine-of-the-month club, so that we can both gain a little knowledge on the subject, and participate in a common hobby.
This months delivery marks our second, FirstLeaf delivery. I think this is a neat concept to expose rookie wine aficionados, like myself, to various wines and food pairing ideas. By providing a little education about the Vineyard and the geographic areas in which the wines originate from, we become a little smarter with each glass.
