What's My Wrist-Wear Choice for Today?
My Flavor of the Day
For Friday, checking out a watch brand that I'm trying for the first time, the Detomaso, Trieste, Globetrotter. Unbelievably, in all my years of collecting watches, this may only be the second world timer I've had in my collection.
This timepiece, and others like it, mark a personal challenge, to add timepieces to my collection that have great aesthetic qualities, at price points south of $100; It's Easy, and expected, to garner a certain level of quality, and fit-and-finish, with timepieces North of $300, and without question, through the many luxury brand offerings. At the lower prices, finding pieces that exceed quality expectations can be difficult, but not impossible.
While there are some quality misses with this timepiece, it's not a deal breaker given that this timepiece was sub $60.00. My hope is that this will prove to be a quality, daily beater, that also has plenty of style presence.
Pairing this blue, super affordable beauty, with a sodalite beaded bracelet from vendor Aurum Brothers.
This timepiece is further proof, that you don't have to spend a fortune to have a nice looking, functional timepiece.
