What's My Wrist-Wear Choice for Today?

My Flavor of the Day

Decided to keep the orange and black theme going today, possibly because I'm in deep mourning because my beloved Orioles have eclipsed the 100 loss mark, smh. My Saturday selection is the Deep Blue, Deep Star 1000.

This Deep Blue is a perfect incarnation of a vintage diver. Dial presentation, case design, and mesh bracelet all look like something out of a 1970's National Geographic pictorial with Jacques Cousteau. This watch is a prime example of why the vintage and recraft series of watch offerings will continue to be popular with collectors.

Pairing the Deep Blue, Deep Star 1000 once again with my calico, custom, beaded bracelet, designed by Beads By Gonzo. I'm getting premium mileage out of this bracelet, as it matches all of the orange and black themed timepieces within my collection.

If you would like more information on the specifications of the Deep Blue, Deep Star 1000, featured in todays WOTD article, please click on the picture, to be taken to a direct link.

I ended-up making a late afternoon switch to a new / old arrival. A timepiece that I had sent out for replacement due to a defect, The Von Dutch, Dutchman, Dual-Time. There was quick turn-a-round on the vendor service replacement, but sadly, the new watch has the same movement defect, so the next step for me will be requesting a refund. I was really digging the unique look of this timepiece, it'll be sad to see it go. Von Dutch is known for their use of skulls in their clothing and watch designs, so I decided to coordinate this timepiece with a very unique skull bracelet.
