What's My Wrist-Wear Choice for Today?
My Flavor of the Day
For today, I felt like something a little aeronautical, and nothing suffices that need like a vintage-style pilot watch. My wrist-wear choice for today is the Laco Type B Aachen. Laco is a German watch brand which traces its lineage of watchmaking back to 1925.
For a pilot watch to be truly functional, legibility is key. And while there is a lot going on, on the dial of my Laco, the hours and minutes are easily read at a glance. The dial legibility is furthered by a stark contrast between the numerals and index markers against a black matte dial. Add-in a rich, calf leather strap, and the true pilot watch look is complete.
Pairing my Laco today with a Tiger's-Eye beaded bracelet to further accentuate the rich brown color of the strap.
