My Flavor of the Day
For Saturday, I was excited to receive a new timepiece from one of the Micro-Brand watch vendors, McDowell Time, that I had the pleasure of meeting at the District Time watch event last Sunday. Presenting the McDowell Time, Maxton Chronograph.
This timepiece exudes a racing-inspired flare at first sight. From the tachymetre scale on the ceramic bezel, the gulf-racing inspired colors, and 3-hole racing strap, all these were the exact elements that initially drew me to this timepiece.
Vintage-inspired, the case size follows this theme as well, with a case diameter a shade under 40mm, though with a lug to lug length of 48mm, it definitely wears a lot larger. A nice touch, is the C3 Superluminova filled bezel markers, which gives an incredible lume show.
Pairing this timepiece with an Aurum Brothers, minimalist, sodalite beaded bracelet, to compliment the beautiful blue dial.
