I decided to take my Jorg Gray 6500, Commemorative Edition for a spin around the block today. Like my blog post topic today, this watch has an interesting back story that makes a nice conversation piece.
This watch gained notoriety throughout watch collecting circles a few years ago, by being labeled as then President Obama's primary wrist-wear choice, after supposedly being gifted to President Obama by his Secret Service detail.
Jorg Gray immediately seized-upon the marketing opportunity by releasing a commemorative edition(s) of the same Jorg Gray timepiece originally gifted to President Obama, at a premium cost of course.
The watch is pretty much a simple, pilot-style quartz chronograph, which is functional for casual or dressy wear. The white index markers and numerals on the dial and chronograph registers does offer excellent visibility.
