What's my wrist-wear choice for today?
My Flavor Of The Day
My Wednesday watch of choice, was the same as my Tuesday timepiece, as I am still enjoying my honeymoon with the Modern Made Man, Belfort, Automatic Titanium watch, or as I've dubbed, the Triple M, just because it rolls off the tongue better.
When you've spent enough years collecting watches, you pretty much experience every conceivable way to purchase a timepiece. One of my favorite ways to add a new timepiece to my collection, is through the various sales forums, hosted on many of the watch forums that I am a member. The forums are a great resource because many of the timepieces have depreciated greatly from their initial retail costs. So there's a good chance you could possibly obtain that watch you've been looking for, at upwards to a 60% to 70% reduction in price. The forums are also a great source of pre-owned timepieces, because most serious collectors take really good care of their watches, and unless it happens to be a watch that has passed through numerous hands, the watch should be in excellent, to like new condition, in most cases.
The Belfort was a forum find, and what a find indeed. The Titanium case and bracelet make this timepiece very light and comfortable on the wrist. The platinum silver / white, muti-textured, multi-layered dial plays well against the Titanium case, with the black inner chapter-ring used effectively to frame the dial display. This piece also has a wonderful exhibition caseback to showcase the Miyota 9015 automatic movement.
Pairing this Titanium beauty today with an Aurum Brothers, minimalist, Hematite beaded bracelet, with the darker polished gunmetal hues of the bracelet, providing a nice contrast to the Belfort timepiece.
