What's my wrist-wear choice for today?
My Flavor Of The Day

My wrist-wear choice for Saturday, is a special timepiece, as this was my prize winning from a recent wrist-shot contest, from my favorite wrist-wear accessory designer, Beads By Gonzo. The Invicta, I-Force Chronograph could be the poster-child for Invicta watch designs over the past 15 years, big, bold, and in your face! In recent years, I've gravitated towards the micro-brands, and their more congenial case sizes, but this I-Force brings it all back.
I've never been one to shy away from timepieces north of 44mm, and over-sized Invicta and Invicta Reserve timepieces were a mainstay, and majority rule within my collection for a number of years, and I still have a few of the larger Invicta's currently in my collection.
This I-Force is one fantastic hunk of steel. The pronounced, stopwatch-style pushers, make for easy manipulation of the chronograph. And this is a true chronograph timepiece, with a second counter, 1/10 second counter, and minute totalizer. The textured dial-work on this timepiece is excellent, and gives the dial nice depth and contrast, against the stark-white numerals and index markers. This timepiece has a strong mil-spec influence, with the fixed bezel reminiscent of the Invicta, Russian Diver models.
The bonus prize, that Beads By Gonzo sent along with the timepiece, is a fantastic, facet-cut, jet-black, beaded bracelet, with dimpling of the facet-cuts, matching the dimpled textures present within the dial. This just shows the level of detail work that Beads By Gonzo puts into their bracelet creations; Simply magnificent!
