My Turkey-Day wrist-wear choice is the Glycine Combat Sub. Glycine does aeromarine on a level higher than most brands, combining dive watch and pilot watch aesthetics; Breitling probably being the only brand I would rate higher in this category, based strictly on looks.
A bonus that Glycine brand has going for it now, is that the brand was recently acquired by the Invicta Watch Group. This bolstered distribution and sourcing channel has allowed Glycine to offer their brand at much more competitive retail pricing, than most any other brand in their category.
With this Combat Submariner, it all about the color. The polished edges on the applied numerals and index markers, just makes the red on the dial pop even more. I decided to accentuate the red accents in the dial, by opting for replacing the original nylon, Nato-style strap, with a genuine Kevlar strap, sporting red stitched accents. The absolute cherry on top, being the custom-matched, beaded bracelet, designed by Beads By Gonzo.
