Watch of the day

What's my wrist-wear choice for today?

My Flavor Of The Day

Casio G-Shock

For my Saturday wrist-wear choice, I opted to go with the trusty, Casio G-Shock. The G-Shock is the epitome of the grab-n-go timepiece, with one caveat, it can handle pretty much any environmental situation thrown at it. While it's not the typical knock-around, or beater timepiece, you'll never be concerned with bumping and banging this timepiece while out and about. And sure enough, I found myself lugging a Christmas tree into the house, branches and pine needles brushing-up against the G-Shock the entire time (I forgot to take the piece off prior), with the watch none the worse for wear.

I've owned a few Casio and G-Shock timepiece through the years, however this is the first G-Shock in which I had to size the bracelet. The bracelet is made from a composite resin material, and it's just as tough as the armor protecting the case and head of the timepiece.

The G-Shock swag you see pictured in the background, was from a G-Shock trunk show event, held this past Friday, at Little Treasury Jewelers in Gambrills, MD. It was a very informative presentation on some of the newest G-Shock timepiece on the market, I'll do a more in-depth recap of the G-Shock trunk show event in an upcoming blog post.
