Watch of the day

What's my wrist-wear choice for today?

My Flavor Of The Day

Invicta Reserve, Orange Sea Monster

Friday is predicted to be a rainy mess for most of the day, so my wrist-wear choice had to be able to handle the elements, without as much as a blink of an eye. I decided on the Invicta Reserve, Orange Sea Monster. Invicta as a brand, is either loved or hated, not much leway in-between. I can tell you that Invicta was the brand that got me into watch collecting, and definitely was a gateway for my introduction into automatic watches, watch complications, and eventually other brands.

The "Reserve" line is definitely a greater cut-above their regular brand offerings, usually with better build quality, and "Swiss" or "Swiss Made" movements powering the timepieces. The Orange Sea Monster is a beefy diver, but is ultra-comfortable on the wrist due to the silicon bracelet and silicon elements incorporated within the case. I love the added touch of the embossed numerals on the bezel, a different design twist than you normally see on dive watch bezels.

Matching this beautiful diver with a color-coordinated, custom, beaded bracelet, designed by Beads By Gonzo.
