What's my wrist-wear choice for today?
My Flavor Of The Day

The wrist-parade of racing chronographs continues on Tuesday, with the Szanto, Danny Sullivan "Icon Series", GT Rally Mod Chronograph. This dial modification turned out smoking hot. And if the color-coordinated, rally racing strap was the cherry on top, the addition of the customized, beaded, GT racing bracelet, is the whip cream.
Mods within the watch industry showcase the artistry and imagination, that folks applying the craft possess. And this creativity not only applies to watches, but also for the designers of watch accessories as well. Case in point, I desired a custom beaded bracelet, that captured the racing themes, and colors of some of my favorite, GT Rally inspired chronograph timepieces. I commissioned Beads By Gonzo, to come up with a design, and low-and-behold, Mark F. Lindell knocked the design out of the park!
A custom, modified timepiece, and custom-designed bracelet, truly a match made in heaven!

The great Tuesday mail call day continues, with the arrival of the Melbourne Hawthorne Chronograph. This timepiece is my January, Black subscription timepiece, through Watch Gang. I'm very impressed with the build quality of this timepiece, and love the combination of brushed and polished surfaces, along with the contrasting patterns and surfaces prominent within the dial. You don't get much more dial clarity, than white index markers, against a matte black background. The polished framework on the hands and index markers, is incorporated within the hour / minute hands, and chronograph hands, adding a dressy feel to this chronograph.
Complimenting the clean look of this timepiece, is the addition of a minimalist, hematite, beaded bracelet, designed by Aurum Brothers.
