Tuesday, brings about the opportunity to strap-on one of the true sleepers within my collection, the Glycine, Combat Sub. Sometimes, there are color plays, used within watches, that are just perfect. Such is the case with this Glycine, as the red index markers and numerals, bordered by polished edges, has incredible pop against the matte black dial. A slightly different color hue of red is used on the 15-minute countdown timer on the bezel, offering a smart contrast, not over-done
To further tie the black and red contrasts together, I opted to add an aftermarket, black Kevlar strap, with red contrast stitching, further playing on the tactical, aero-marine theme of this timepiece. And the tough as nails Kevlar strap, while sturdy and rigid, is surprisingly extremely comfortable on the wrist.
Adding a further pop of black against red, with the addition of a custom, beaded bracelet, designed and crafted by Beads By Gonzo.
