My Flavor Of The Day

Beginning Saturday, getting reacquainted with another of my rarely worn pieces, the Citizen Eco-Drive, Pilot Chronograph. Having a trusty, grab-n-go timepiece,is essential for any collection, and it doesn't get much more trusty than a Citizen Eco-Drive, that just happens to double as a perpetual calendar. When properly set, this timepiece is the embodiment of the term grab-n-go.
Having an alarm function, tachymetre scale, along with the chronograph, could lend this piece to having an extremely busy dial, with a lot of clutter. But the spacing, and size of the index markers, provides extreme clarity, befitting of a Pilot watch.
The addition of a thickly padded, square-grain leather strap, gives this Pilot a bit of an elegant flare. The rich brown tone of the strap, complimented by a beautiful, Tiger's-eye stone, beaded bracelet.
And then, made a switch to a new arrival in the afternoon.....

The three favorite words to any watch collector, are "out for delivery", which means an anticipated, new arrival is soon to land. Such is the case with the Invicta, "Creamsicle" Grand Diver, Automatic.
I fell in love with the dial colors used on this timepiece, the very first time I laid eyes on it. Stark white, with orangish / yellow markers and hands, this dial, and timepiece, was affectionately dubbed the "creamsicle", after the orange and vanilla ice cream treat.
But there's an even bigger secret being kept by this white dial, that is only revealed when the lights go down, full lume!

There have been a few iterations and variations of the full lume dial, and each and everyone of Invicta's efforts has been spectacular!
Pairing the "Creamsicle" Grand Diver, with a calico, custom, beaded bracelet, designed by Beads By Gonzo, which perfectly captures the full array of colors at play in the timepiece.
