If it's racing chronograph week, it means another, fast, race-ready timepiece to adorn the wrist. My Friday watch-of-the-day entry, is a new arrival to my collection, the Tsikolia GT40, Racing Chronograph, Limited Edition.

There are three things that I love in watches, sport / racing chronographs, and Gulf-Racing colors, and limited editions. Combine the three aspects within a single timepiece, and you've got me at hello.

The Tsikolia brand is one that may not be known to many casual watch observers. However, as a Russian brand specifically centered around creating high-quality, limited edition, Swiss Made Watches, they have been on the radar by watch enthusiasts, and watch industry professionals, for their eye-catching, forward-thinking, if not avante garde watch designs. This timepiece offers a stunningly beautiful tribute to the Ford GT40 Racecar, and has many intricate design cues and influences, that pay homage to the car, which I'll go over in more detail with a thorough review to come. The most prominent visual of this watch, being the signature baby blue and orange dial colors, that the GT40 car, and Gulf Racing team are known for. Add a buttery-soft, color coordinated, perforated leather racing strap, and this timepiece is a visual masterpiece.

Pairing the GT40 today, with a marine-grade, rope bracelet, designed by Roplet UK, perfectly capturing, and further enhancing the Ford GT40, Gulf-Racing theme, and color scheme. The only thing missing, is the Gulf-Racing logo.
