Watch of the day
What's my wrist-wear choice for today?
My Flavor Of The Day

For my Tuesday WOTD, I finally got the opportunity to strap on a new arrival to my collection, in the Grant Brown, Aeronautic. This timepiece arrived last week, sandwiched between a small flurry of custom strap deliveries, and pre-ordered watches, so it was nearly an afterthought . After all, this piece was one of the Watch Gang, Original Subscription offerings for March, their $29.99 monthly subscription price point. So admittedly, I wasn't exactly expecting to be wowed by the piece.
To my amazement, the quality of this timepiece was well above my expectations of what I expected to receive for $30. The thickly padded leather strap, clad with contrast stitching and rivets, helps to give the Aeronautic an instrument / pilot feel. Although, with a slightly modern / contemporary look to the dial, this timepiece avoids being pigeon-holed into any one, single category of pilot-watch. This piece is kind of a morphing of Panerai meets Jean Richard, with its case design, offering a very nice presentation on the wrist.
In taking a break from my monthly, Black Sub, Watch Gang subscription, I discovered a new brand, offered on the lower Watch Gang subscription tier, but with very little noticeable drop-off in quality. This watch definitely has enough style to be a go to, daily wearer, it remains to be seen if the quality will hold-up over time.
Accessorizing the Grant Brown Aeronautic today, with a custom designed, beaded bracelet, crafted by Beads By Gonzo, which captures the light brown tones of the flieger-style, leather strap, perfectly.
