Watch of the day
What's my wrist-wear choice for today?
My Flavor Of The Day

Monday's following the weekend are normally blue. But there's no reason for me to be blue about my wrist-wear choice for Monday, starting the week out with the Stuhrling Original, Devilray Tourbillon Bronze, Limited Edition.
Any watch collector, that has been in the hobby long enough, will eventually develop a list, written or mental, of desired watches and / or watch complications. And right up there on the wish list, is the hallowed Tourbillon complication.
Saving the long and drawn-out horology lesson, the Tourbillon is an added complication to a watch movement, that is meant to counteract the forces of gravity, impacting the accuracy of the watch movement, in a negative way. The kicker, there's no real proof that the Tourbillon actually does what it is intended to do. But it is a complication that commands upwards of multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions of dollars, for automatic Swiss Tourbillon movements. So for my humble collection, even to acquire a Tourbillon, of the Chinese, manual-wind variety, still denotes a significant step-up in mechanical watch engineering, and made this timepiece a must-have, and real gem to add to the collection.
This watch offers a bold presence on the wrist, but that boldness is slightly muted given the Brown, Bronze, and copper tones, and yet still gives this timepiece a classy look, without being overly dressy.
Pairing this Bronze beauty today, with a Tiger's-Eye, beaded bracelet, that compliments the rich Brown tones present within the case, dial, and strap.
