Watch of the day

What's my wrist-wear choice for today?

My Flavor Of The Day

Aragon, Divemaster II, Automatic Diver

My Thursday wrist-wear choice, is the Aragon Divemaster II, automatic diver. Whenever a newer version of anything is introduced, the expectation is that the new model will be an upgrade from its predecessor. Such is the case with the Aragon, Divemaster II.

With this 2.0 version of the Divemaster, everything was re-imagined, and personally I feel that all of the changes are a positive. Opting for more traditional, submariner index markers, and utilizing Super Luminova for the lume properties, provides a much more vibrant lume, and visual experience, than the Tritium tubes used on the previous model. The lume is also used on the etched bezel markers, whereas the original model was designed with an aluminum bezel insert.

Wing and Aragon, have continued to give collectors an option of going big, or staying modest, with the new Divemasters being offered in both 45mm and 50mm versions. This time around, I decided on going with the much more wrist accommodating 45mm version, as my wearable sweet spot these days is 43mm to 46mm.

Pairing the Divemaster today, with a custom-made bracelet, designed by Beads By Gonzo, to compliment the red accents on the minute-hand and date wheel frame of the timepiece.
