What's my wrist-wear choice for today?
My Flavor Of The Day

Around my wrist for Friday, is another timepiece I consider a true sleeper within my collection, in the Benrus, H-6, Mil-Spec Diver. This timepiece is a rugged, dive-themed piece, and I was first struck with the heft that this timepiece has. This definitely feels like a solid tool watch.
The PVD coating is nicely applied to the case and bezel, with a matte black, aluminum bezel insert, providing a nice backdrop and contrast to the Orange bezel numerals. The Orange against Black contrast, plays out nicely throughout the dial and hands of this timepiece, with a beautifully textured dial as the canvas.
While this timepiece is dive-themed, it is a bit of an imposter. The bezel rotates, but isn't useful for any real marking of time. The Orange index markers are very pronounced against the matte Black surfaces, yet there is no lume to speak of on the dial or bezel. This timepiece initially shipped with a black NATO strap, but I felt adding a soft, silicone strap, with Orange contrast stitching completed the coordinated look of this watch.
Pairing this Benrus, H-6, with another color-coordinated bracelet, custom-built and designed by Beads By Gonzo.
