My watch-of-the-day, wrist-wear choice for Saturday, is the Seiko Recraft, Solar Chronograph, a requisite for Seiko Saturday. Seiko's Recraft series has been a hit, as not only have they re-issued classic looks and designs, but done the re-issues in such as way that they are visually captivating; in short, they are just great looking timepieces!
This Recraft, Solar Chronograph, just screams racing, as the Gulf-Racing colors are prominently displayed throughout the strap and dial. And the dial, is a stunning beauty, sporting a radiant blue center, highlighted with a silvertone outer edge, sandwiched by a grey chapter ring; beautiful depth and clarity with this dial. Normally, chronograph dials are considered busy, but this dial presentation is next to perfection.
For this Seiko timepiece today, I opted to accessorize this watch with a marine-grade, rope bracelet, designed by Roplet, further capturing the Gulf-Racing colors, to enhance the racing theme of this piece.
