For my Sunday WOTD, I couldn't have made a better selection, especially given that today is Indy 500 race day. My choice is the Szanto, Danny Sullivan "Icon Series" Racing Chronograph Mod.
I can't attest to being a religious follower of the Indy Car racing series, or really knowing if Danny Sullivan is a true "icon" of the sport, but I really like how this watch modification turned-out, and the addition of the Straton Watch Co, non-round, 3-hole racing strap, is like the cherry on top of a perfect Sundae! This is one of those watches that's puts a smile on my face, and puts me in my happy place every time I wear it; every watch collector should strive to have a timepiece or timepieces that resonate, like this watch does with me.
I'm a sucker for Gulf Racing colors, and those colors are accentuated with the addition of the marine-grade, rope bracelet, designed by Roplet UK. This combination is poised to take the checkered flag!
