Closing-out my busy week, with another new addition to the collection, in the Pramzius, Fall of the Berlin Wall, Limited Edition. Expanding on my WOTD post yesterday, and point on "conversation" pieces, the Fall of the Berlin Watch definitely qualifies.
This watch has plenty of backstory. From how the project was conceived, to the significant, and poignant historical event in World History that this timepiece pays tribute to, to the marble dial and dial relief, with graffiti replicated from actual graffiti from the Berlin Wall. And the cherry-on-top, pieces of the actual Berlin Wall, encased within the crown; as a conversation piece, there's a lot to talk about.
A timepiece this extraordinary and unique, deserves a wrist companion of the same ilk. So of course, I commissioned my favorite accessory guru, and master beader himself, Beads By Gonzo, to create a bracelet that captures the character of the timepiece, down to the graffiti art; big kudos to BBG for pulling of an exemplary, complementary bracelet design!
