Watch of the day

What's my wrist-wear choice for today?

My Flavor Of The Day

Parnis, Big Pilot Mechanical (Sterile Dial)

Wednesday watch-of-the-day, finds one of the better values, and best-bang-for-the-buck timepieces within my collection, on my wrist today, in the form of the Parnis, Big Pilot Mechanical, with sterile dial. Parnis is well-known for their ultra-affordable pilot and dive watches.

Most Parnis watches are considered "homage" timepieces, in that they take their style influences from popular, established luxury brands / timepieces. This Big Pilot is an excellent example of the value of a Parnis timepiece. Add the fact that this piece is a mechanical, hand-cranker, makes this an even greater value at well below $100; there's nothing quite like seeing that smooth sweep of the sub-second hand! The high-polished case, and finely crafted, leather strap, gives this piece a very refined look!

Matching this beautiful pilot watch today, with a Tiger's Eye stone bracelet, which complements the darker tones within the dial and strap; the perfect wing-man for this timepiece.
