Watch of the day

What's my wrist-wear choice for today?

My Flavor Of The Day

McDowell Time, Maxton Chronograph

On the wrist for Wednesday, my choice is the McDowell Time, Maxton Chronograph. The Maxton represents all that is great with micro-brand timepieces, with an out-of-the-box design, and utilizing high-grade construction materials, while still maintaining competitive pricing. Not all micro-brands are able to do these things, and offer reasonable prices, for comparable pieces offered by the major brands. After all, when it comes to watches, bang-for-the-buck, or price-to-value ratio, does matter.

I fell in love with the design of the Maxton at first sight, with the black dial and blue dial, orange accented versions, immediately capturing my attention. But the radiant blue, paired with the honey brown, Horween leather, 3-hole racing strap, edged-out the competition; all color components just seemed to fit.

The vintage inspired design, combined with a very wearable, square-cushioned case diameter, gives the Maxton an even greater, far ranging appeal with collectors.

Setting the pace with the Maxton Chronograph today, is a custom-designed bracelet, created by Beads By Gonzo, continuing the Gulf Racing theme on the wrist.
