Watch of the day
What's my wrist-wear choice for today?
My Flavor Of The Day

Propelling myself through Tuesday, with the Bulova, Lunar Pilot, Special Edition. This timepiece was on my short-list of must have timepieces for 2019, and I'm fortunate to have been able to finally acquire this watch.
Timepieces that are conversation starters, or have an interesting backstory, just add a certain something to any collection. Typically, this denotes that the collector, put a good bit of forethought and research in, before acquiring an "interesting" timepiece, as this rarely happens by chance. This watch is a rebirth of the iconic Bulova Lunar Pilot model, a timepiece that was as much a significant part of the U.S. Space Race, as its much higher-priced "Moonwatch" brethren.
For a chronograph, the Lunar Pilot is ultra-clean in fit, finish, and dial presentation, with the stark white index markers, and sub-dial hands, contrasting perfectly against the jet-black dial. This piece has added flexibility, as the leather strap pictured, can be swapped-out with an included NATO strap, which has the date of mission info for the Apollo 15 mission, emblazoned on a leather placard affixed to the strap; a nice added touch.
Co-piloting the Lunar Pilot today, is a custom-crafted bracelet, designed by Beads By Gonzo, LLC, a match made in the celestial heavens.
