My Flavor Of The Day
My Monday selection, is a newly redesigned timepiece from Spinnaker, the Hull - California, Tactical Edition. This timepiece has a wonderfully, heavily textured dial, but unfortunately, the super matte black dial, with grayed-out numerals and index markers, make the true beauty of this dial a bit of a challenge to fully capture in photos.
I do like the approach Spinnaker took with the redesign of this timepiece. The previous version of the Hull sported a gradient dial, which was a nice touch, but the applied markers and textured dial, definitely gives this new incarnation of the Hull dial, much more depth and pop.
On this tactical version, as you might expect, all colors used are dark and subdued, after all if you're on a secret, covert mission, you definitely don't want to be discovered from miles away. In keeping with the darker tones of the piece, I've accessorized the Hull today, with a large gauge, lava bracelet, designed by Aurum Brothers, offering the perfect complement to the textured dial.
