My Flavor Of The Day
For my Sunday selection, I've opted for the Spinnaker, Hull - California, Tactical Edition. I really love Spinnaker's revamp of the Hull, choosing a heavily textured dial selection that is simply off the charts! I also favor their choice to go with applied numerals and index markers, versus the former sandwich-style dial (which is a bit overdone in the watch world). The applied markers against the textured dial, really gives the dial a 3-dimensional look.
Every enhancement on this model, from the previous, is a real upgrade. The decision to add a "tactical" model was smart, because it essentially gives this watch new life, as a pure sport watch; easily adaptable to any clothing selection you choose to make. And did I mention the dial?
At 43mm, the case diameter is in a more universally wearable package, with the square-cushioned case, and short lugs, giving this timepiece a near perfect feel on the wrist.
Playing a bit on the "Moon rock" theme, I've incorporated a large gauge, lava stone bracelet, designed by Aurum Brothers, offering the perfect complement to the textured dial.
