Watch of the day

What's my wrist-wear choice for today?

My Flavor Of The Day

Benrus, Infantry, Field Watch

Keeping it simple for my Friday selection, in the grab-n-go, quartz powered, Benrus, Infantry, Field Watch. There is one major notable point to take note of with this Benrus Infantry. As this Infantry Field Watch represents the model that was the revival of the Benrus brand; an American brand that was once more popular than Hamilton Watch Co., many decades ago.

When it comes to genres of watches that are must-haves to add to a growing collection, a military Field Watch has to be on the list. Not to be confused with an Officer's Watch, which will usually have a more elegant and dressy look, a field watch is going to be simple, with the main prerequisites being dial legibility and a timepiece rugged enough to handle the day-to-day rigors of a soldier's life in the field. On this particular model, Benrus decided to add Chevrons, military insignia, at the index marker positions; a nice design touch for a military-inspired timepiece. And what Field Watch wouldn't be complete, without a 24-hour, military time scale on the dial?

Complementing the Infantry today, is a custom-made, bracelet, designed by Beads By Gonzo, perfectly capturing the Khaki and Olive colors within this timepiece.
