What's my wrist-wear choice for today?
My Flavor Of The Day

Sunday finds me welcoming a new timepiece into the fold, and a brand that has been on my radar for a couple years, the Straton, Daily Driver - Orange. A Straton timepiece was on my initial list, of top-7 must have timepieces for 2019, though not this exact model. So technically, I still haven't officially checked the Straton "must-have" box, but the Daily Driver will certainly suffice for now. And on this Sunday, breaking from my usual Colts Football Sunday tradition of Blue-themed timepieces; the Straton, Daily Driver is that good!
Aesthetically, the Daily Driver is a just a great looking timepiece, the dial presenting perfect balance, with right-sized sub-dial registers in relation to the dial set-up. The genesis of the Daily Driver was born out of Straton's Classic Driver model, with the Daily Driver manufactured in a more robust 44mm case design. I opted for the Orange dial, although there are various racing-stripe dial versions available. The Orange dial, for a racing chronograph, is much different than any other racer currently in my collection. The unique design of the hour and minute hands, and smart use of contrasting dial colors, gives this timepiece a very striking look on the wrist.
The Daily Driver shipped on a nicely designed bracelet, however, I decided that an Orange, contrast-stitched, Straton, leather Rally racing strap, would make the perfect addition to this timepiece, finishing-off the classic racer look.
Accessorizing the Straton, Daily Driver - Orange today, a watch I'm affectionately dubbing the "Red Panda", with a custom-crafted, bracelet, designed by Beads By Gonzo, effectively complementing, and capturing all of the colors and contrasts within this timepiece. And since this is a new arrival, my self-imposed, mandatory, 48-hour break-in period, will have the Daily Driver on my wrist, as my Monday WOTD as well.
