My Flavor Of The Day

Friday has me ending the work week, with probably the most underrated watch within my collection. And if not underrated, certainly is one of the most affordable, at well under $80 USD, in the Detomaso, Trieste, Globetrotter.
Surprising to me, this timepiece is one of the few World Time timepieces I've ever owned. There are two aspects that really make this watch; the darkened chapter ring works to visually separate the dial and bezel, with the contrast, helping each stand-out. World Time bezels and dials are typically very busy, but the smart use and play of colors, gives the dial and bezel of this timepiece extreme clarity and legibility. Second, further proof that the simplest strap change modification, can drastically change the personality and attitude of a timepiece, is seen here; the addition of the Red and Blue, 3-ring NATO, really finishes this look.
With such a rich Blue color that's present within the dial and bezel, complementing this timepiece with the Aurum Brothers, minimalist, Sodalite stone bracelet, just seemed like a no-brainer.
