Bright and sunny here in central Maryland today, so that calls for a burst of sunshine of the wrist as well. Breitling is a brand known worldwide for their flight-inspired timepieces, however, their dive watches like the Superocean line, have garnered a loyal following all their own.
My choice today is from Breitling's Aeromarine collection, combining design cues from their pilot's and divers collections. In today's example, the dial presents a classic pilot's configuration, while the ratcheting uni-directional bezel, and 3,000 meters of water resistance make this a watch suitable for handling all recreational diving and the majority of professional diving endeavors. Breitling performed a recent face-lift on the Avenger Seawolf in the Avenger II Seawolf, in which the numerals have been changed to a more block-style font, and the "Automatic" on the dial applied in red, which offers a brilliant color contrast.
