My Flavor Of The Day
Entering the straightaway, and Thursday home stretch, to the end-of-week finish line, with the Tsikolia, GT40 - Racing Chronograph, Limited Edition. It was a personal goal of mine, to add more Russian timepieces, and pieces designed by companies originating in the Eastern Block countries, and this Tsikolia is a prime example of my effort.
This timepiece represents another one of those, love-at-first-sight timepieces. And when I saw the first design mock-ups of this piece, it was one I knew I had to add to my collection. As a race-inspired timepiece, and tribute to the Ford GT40 race car and Gulf Racing team, it doesn't get much better than this. The GT40 is a sport timepiece to it's core, and would never be mistaken for anything else.
Very smart collaboration of Gulf Racing colors within this timepiece, from the racing stripes, chapter ring, strap stitching, and dial hands; everything fits the personality of the timepiece and the attitude of the Ford GT40 race car.
Keeping it Gulf, with my wrist accessory selection, as I decided to pair the GT40 with a marine-grade, rope bracelet, crafted by RopeletUK; giving this race-ready combo, and my Wrist-Game a sure place in the winner's circle!
