My Flavor Of The Day

For Thursday, heading to wards the homestretch into the weekend, with the Circa 1980's, Molnija - Chemical Warrior. This timepiece represents my very first vintage add to my collection, and as you might have guessed, the eye-popping dial colors most definitely peaked my interest in this timepiece. And who doesn't like a nice, manual-wind, hand-cranker within their collection.
I love a timepiece with a nice backstory as well, and this piece has a fantastic one. As the story goes, the Russian Government commissioned Molnija Watch Co., to create a special timepiece, to be given to Soldiers that were trained in biological and chemical warfare; the Chemical Warrior was the answer; a nice touch to add the radioactive symbol as the sub-second sub-dial. Fantastic decoration on the movement also, showcased by an exhibition caseback.
Pairing the Chemical Warrior today, with a SoHo, bracelet, designed by Dorsal Bracelet Company, an accessory that captures all of the Brown, Mustard, and Yellow tones present within the strap and dial.
