Watch of the day (WOTD)

What's my wrist-wear choice for today?

My Flavor Of The Day

WOTD wrist-shot of the Alpina, Startimer Chronograph. Paired with a Hammerhead rope bracelet, designed by Dorsal Bracelet Co.
Alpina, Startimer Chronograph

Starting out the week, with the Alpina, Startimer - Chronograph; a departure from some of my more colorful dial assortments within my collection. Drab, Olive, and Khaki may not be at the top of the list of desirable color combinations for the majority of watch collectors. But for Military-themed timepieces, those colors are becoming increasingly popular, to afford an authentic "field" look.

This Alpina is solid, and as I've stated before, you can generally tell the quality of the timepiece simply by feel, and look of the finishing work on the timepiece. And this Startimer checks all of the boxes. The finishing work and detail on this piece, is some of the best I've seen, on a watch at this price-point, and rivaling brands hundreds to thousands of dollars more expensive.

Alpina works the Olive, Sand, and Brown colors magnificently, and not many brands can pull this off well, or at least tastefully enough. I've even managed to work some Sand / Drab into my accessory choice, a Hammerhead rope bracelet, crafted by Dorsal Bracelet Company; my Wrist-Game with today's combo, lying to new heights!
