Watch of the day (WOTD)

What's my wrist-wear choice for today?

My Flavor Of The Day

WOTD wrist-shot of the Zodiac - Grandhydra. Paired with a custom-crafted bracelet, designed by Beads By Gonzo.
Zodiac - Grandhydra

Nothing can ease the pain of a hump-day Wednesday, than receiving a new arrival before heading into the office. So excited to receive my first vintage Omega, Geneve - Dynamic, Automatic. Vintage watches are a tricky proposition for me, as most vintage designs, have case diameters well South of 40mm, a case size that looks way too small on my wrist. I was fortunate to discover the Geneve - Dynamic models, which sport case diameters coming-in around 41mm, making them a much more wearable vintage option for me.

This piece is even more impressive and beautiful in person. The one appeal about vintage timepieces, is the one thing I'm not really a fan of, and that's the beaten-up, weathered and worn look. I know and understand that the worn and antique look is part of the allure of collecting vintage timepieces, but I prefer a clean look. It was an incredible stroke of luck, and bonus for me to find this Omega in such pristine condition. I've never been an accuracy junkie, but the timekeeping on this piece is absolutely spot-on, incredible for a timepiece that is over 30 years old. The steel dial, and Orange accents caught my attention at first sight, but pictures didn't do this beautiful vintage piece any justice.

Pairing the Geneve - Dynamic today, with a custom bracelet, designed by Beads By Gonzo, a combo that further accentuates the Orange dial accents. I'd say this vintage beauty gives my Wrist-Game today a bit of refinement. So, I'll enjoy the refinement today, and of course run this combo back for Thursday, staring at this beautiful dial the entire time.
