Watch of the day (WOTD)

What's my wrist-wear choice for today?
My Flavor Of The Day

My Tuesday WOTD, is another of my sleeper timepieces, the Vanguard, Victorville - PIlot. As pilot watches go, it's a bit of a departure from the classic pilot look, given the PVD coated, Gunmetal case, and dial color scheme. The matte Black dial also gets a bit of an antique treatment, incorporating sand colored index markers and hands. While the dial color doesn't afford the usual White on Black contrast, indicative of the typical pilot watch, the sand / khaki look, gives enough contrast to provide a crisp visual, along with giving the Victorville a bit of a Military, field watch feel.
This timepiece shipped with two straps, the one pictured, and one that is more of a textile, NATO style. However, I really like the look of this timepiece on the Gray strap, with Gray contrast stitching; something just works with this combination. The only detraction, the push-button hardware on the strap, is a bit uncomfortable on my wrist, at the current hole setting, with my wrist-size having me in-between holes, but I can't blame this on the watch; I may need to punch an additional hole on the strap.
Flying in formation with the Victorville - Pilot today, is a beaded bracelet, designed by Dorsal Bracelet Company, in color SoHo, that is a perfect complement to the softer, sand colored tones within the dial.
