What's my wrist-wear choice for today?

My Flavor Of The Day

Tuesday's choice is the Mojnija, Chemical Warrior, a vintage resto-mod from the 1980's. This piece represents my first venture into the vintage realm, albeit in a slightly modified form. This piece exudes character, with the multiple colors incorporated within the dial, and radioactive symbol used for the sub-second hand, making this a timepiece that is very hard to ignore. Bonus that this timepiece is also a part of my Russian / Eastern Block contingency of timepiece, literally took care of two birds with one stone, Russian and Vintage.

The OEM, vintage-style, Brown leather strap, afforded a really nice look for this piece, but ever since I acquired this watch, I had thought of switching the original strap out with a Bund strap. I was eventually able to find the perfect Bund strap, which has Yellow / Mustard contrast stitching, providing the perfect complement to the dial. And an added benefit, the Bund strap is extremely comfortable also, feels like butter on the wrist!

Even given the Red and Yellow pops of color, the Bund strap helps to soften the overall look of this piece. And because of that, I've opted for soft tones with my choice of accessory item, going with a beaded bracelet, designed by Dorsal Bracelet Company, in color Soho.
