What's my wrist-wear choice for today?
My Flavor Of The Day

For Monday, starting my week with one of the more underrated pieces within my collection, in the Oris, Aquis, Great Barrier Reef - Limited Edition II. That statement may seem very odd, after all, Oris is a very solid brand, well known for their racing inspired and dive watches. But sometimes, when you've owned a timepiece for some time, the incredible details, that make the timepiece special, kind of gets lost, or perhaps taken for granted.
The yellow accents against the deep, radiant Blue dial, is definitely the first eye-catching detail of this terrific timepiece. But Oris' dial set-up, showcasing the day / date display of the Selitta movement powering this timepiece, is very unique; I've not seen a similar day / date configuration in any other timepiece I've owned.
If there's one downside to this timepiece, it would be the rubber strap, which still remains a bit rigid after a few years of ownership, albeit with only intermittent wear. But that aside, the Great Barrier Reef, Limited Edition II, is always a visual treat on the wrist.
Any timepiece that can benefit the environment (initial proceeds from the sale of this timepiece, went to preserve and save the Great Barrier Reef), deserves an equally, socially conscious accessory. Pairing the GBR II today, with an Eagle Ray, rope bracelet, designed by Dorsal Bracelet Company. Proceeds from each Dorsal accessory purchase, helps to remove 1 lb of trash from the beaches and oceans, so this is about as socially conscious, from an environmental conservation perspective, as my Wrist Game can get; look good, feel good, do good.
