My Flavor Of The Day
Saturday finds the Alpina, Startimer - Chronograph on my wrist today. I love this timepiece for a number of reasons, but first-and-foremost is the quality, and fit-and-finish.
Alpina is one of those Swiss brands that I coveted from afar, always finding their pilot watches very clean and concise in their presentation. And to think, I literally stumbled across this model when searching for another Flieger design to add to my collection. While some collectors will turn their nose up to quartz timepieces, this Startimer Chronograph is a prime example of a grab-n-go quartz, with plenty of style.
The Sand, Khaki, and Brown tones used on this timepiece are subtle, but still speak volumes, affording a dial presentation that I've only seen rivaled by some IWC Pilot watches; that alone speaks volumes, considering the price, quality, and value of IWC timepieces.
