Watch of the day (WOTD)
What's my wrist-wear choice for today?
My Flavor Of The Day

For Friday, inspired from the previous days Lunar Pilot, ending my week with another "Pilot" themed timepiece, in the Alpina, Startimer Chronograph.
In my opinion, Alpina is one of the more underrated brands within the watch industry. Many brands add certain buzzwords to the dials and / or casebacks of their timepieces, like "Swiss". "hand-crafted", "hand-assembled", etc., but this is nothing more than window-dressing, to give these brands more credibility. Alpina proudly states "Geneve" on their dial, and this is not just to give the brand added cache, but rather an indication of the true Swiss lineage, and craftsmanship of the brand; and you can most certainly feel the difference in quality of an Alpina timepiece, compared to other lesser brands.
When it comes to sand, khaki, drab, etc., not many brands can pull these colors off as tastefully as Alpina; perhaps only IWC being the other notable brand, but these colors work magnificently on this Startimer timepiece.
Making this timepiece stand-out even more, ironically, is a bit of camouflage pattern, on the custom-crafted bracelet, designed by Beads By Gonzo, making this wrist combo, and my Wrist-Game today, Hotel, Oscar, Tango!
