My Flavor Of The Day
Tuesday, finds the Alsta, Superautomatic back on my Wrist. This timepiece was definitely one of my must have pieces to add to my collection, just because of the cool factor, and nostalgia related to the movie Jaws.
As an admitted Jaws nerd and watch geek, this timepiece was simply a must have. For years, I wondered what type of dive watch Matt Hooper was sporting in the movie, all the while assuming the watch was some type of Seiko or Doxa diver of the day, but that was not the case, pun intended.
Thankfully, the Alsta brand and Jaws watch has been reborn; albeit with modern build engineering, yet staying true to the vintage 70s styling. The updated version of the "Hooper" bracelet, originally designed by Speidel, brings even more of an original, vintage look to this timepiece.
A Jaws watch, requires an accessory to match, and the Shark, rope bracelet, designed by Dorsal Bracelet Company, provides the perfect pairing. I was even fortunate to find the rope in the exact color scheme of the dial. Making my Wrist-Game today, ripe for a sequel!
