Thursday finds the Tsikolia, GT40 Racing Chronograph back on my wrist. This watch is one of my mood setting watches, as the infusion, and color pop present within the dial and strap, immediately places me in a happy place.
Tsikolia hit the design of this watch completely out of the park, as you won't mistake this timepiece for anything else, other than a racing chronograph. Being designed as a tribute to the Ford GT40 Supercar, Tsikolia did a fantastic job of integrating essential elements of the race car, into the design of this incredible timepiece. As a stock strap, you'll be hard-pressed to find a higher quality, better crafted watch strap, on any timepiece, at any price point.
It was love at first sight with this racer. The love affair continues to this day, as my desire to wear this watch hasn't waned one bit. The Gulf Racing color scheme is always tops in my book, and I appreciate that Tsikolia found a unique way to display the traditional racing stripes, in an unconventional placement on the dial. The tiered configuration of the dial, gives the racing stripes on the GT40 a multi-dimensional look, a unique departure from the usual, routine, Gulf Racing inspired watch dials.
Adding to the color parade today, I'm accessorizing the GT40 with a custom-crafted bracelet, designed by Beads By Gonzo, adding some high octane fuel to this blazing fast combination.
