Watch of the day (WOTD)
What's my wrist-wear choice for today?
My Flavor Of The Day
Monday, and the start of a new week, finds a new arrival to the collection on my wrist, the Winfield Watch Company, Mission Timer 2 (MT-2). This watch wasn't even on my radar to purchase, but after thinking that I had finally capped-off my Maryland brand, sub-collection, a few weeks ago with the purchase of my Towson Watch Company Potomac, I was made aware that there was one final Maryland microbrand, that I needed to acquire, Winfield Watch Company, located in LaPlata, MD.
The MT-2 is the newest model offering by Winfield Watch Co., a follow-up to their initial MT-1. The current watch, like the latter, is a Military-inspired, field watch, built for adventure. I'm all about aesthetics in a timepiece, and the contrasting colors, and layers within the dial, immediately appealed to me. The two-tone, Gray / Khaki, NATO strap, not only coordinates the color-play, but also affirms that the great outdoors is where the MT-2 is most comfortable. Simply put, one cool, kick-ass, look on the wrist, that's willing, ready, and able for anything you can throw at it.
This visually stunning MT-2, is being paired today, with a camo paracord, rope bracelet, designed by Wind Passion Accessories. Dare I say, the perfect accessory to accentuate the military / tactical vibe of this piece. Being a new arrival, it gets the mandatory, 2-day break-in period, so my Tuesday watch-of-the-day is set!
