Watch of the day (WOTD)

What's my wrist-wear choice for today?

My Flavor Of The Day

WOTD wrist-shot of the 1970, vintage, King Seiko.
Vintage King Seiko, Circa 1970

Following-up Monday's vintage Omega, with another beautiful vintage timepiece, in the Seiko Japan, King Seiko. The King Seiko is a superlative timepiece, and I'm impressed with the fit-and-finish, and accuracy of a timepiece that's nearly as old as I am. While a Spring Drive, Grand Seiko may be on my future, wanted to buy list, this vintage King Seiko was an excellent place for me to start my foray into high-end Seiko indulgence.

So much to love about this timepiece, but the raised index markers, give this dial incredible depth, almost affording a 3-dimensional effect. The second outstanding feature of this watch, is that you don't see many Seiko Japan, King Seiko timepieces out in the wild. Having something unique and original, is most definitely up my watch collecting alley. I have flirted with the idea of switching-out the bracelet on this piece, for a nice exotic strap. But for now, deciding to keep it original.

Keeping pace with the Silver dial and Platinum finish of this beautiful King Seiko, is the addition of a stainless steel bracelet, crafted by Jovivi, creating an astounding wrist presence that shimmers and sparkles, like the 4th of July!
