Watch of the day (WOTD)
What's my wrist-wear choice for today?
My Flavor Of The Day

My Thursday watch-of-the-day, is a brand that I've been very eager experience for years. I was also looking to add another Blue and White color schemed timepiece, as an avid Colts Football fan. Luck finally met opportunity (pun intended), and I was able to finally snag a Zeno-Basel Watch, Pilot.
Zeno-Basel Watch is one of those brands that I've admired from afar for years. Their pilot watches always seemed to have a clean, polished presentation, and I placed them in the category of a brand like Laco, who offer pilot creations that rival the look of a heavyweight like IWC, but for a fraction of the cost. Even better, this particular Pilot has a unique movement that you don't see everyday; and I'm a big fan of adding unique and different within my collection.
The movement is essentially a 12-hour, quartz movement consisting of one-hand, which indicates both the hour and minutes. The 12 index markers, are separated by 12 hash marks, denoting 5 minutes of elapsed time between each hour marker. There is also a 24-hour scale at the 6 o'clock position, which also has the ability to be set independently. So for my picture example, the time shown on the dial is 12:58 - 12:59, give or take a minute, LOL. We know it's PM, rather than AM, based on the current 24-hour scale setting. Yeah, I know, not a very functional movement for a Pilot to use, but I'm a big fan of this unorthodox movement.
I love the polished accents on this round case, with the diameter coming-in at a universally wearable 42mm, about 44mm with the crown. And for me, the added clincher the White on Blue dial. This watch shipped with a very nice, crocodile-embossed, Navy Blue, leather strap, but I had designs on adding a NATO to this timepiece from the get-go; and from the looks of things, that turned-out to be a pretty good thought!
Pairing this gorgeous, unconventional Pilot watch, with a custom bracelet, designed by Beads By Gonzo, serving as the perfect Wing Man for my Thursday Wrist Game flight plan.
