Watch of the day (WOTD)

What's my wrist-wear choice for today?

For Sunday, I was obligated to pick a choice that exemplifies "micro-brand". After all, today I'll be attending the annual, District Time, Micro-Brand Watch Show, held in Washington, DC. My selection, the Straton Watch Co., Daily Driver Racing Chronograph, Orange; a watch I've affectionately dubbed, the "Red Panda".

Straton has definitely been one of those micros, or independent watch companies (I'll split hairs about this terminology in an upcoming blog post), that I've been looking forward to owning some day. And lucky for me, someday finally came, with the release of the Daily Driver; the Daily Driver being a slightly larger case variant to the Classic Driver. It was a great way to introduce myself to the brand, without stepping into the higher-tier, and costs, of the valjoux automatic chronograph pieces.

The Daily shipped on a wonderfully-crafted bracelet, however, I had the vision of placing one of Straton's, perforated, leather racing straps on this beauty, ever since the first time I laid my eyes on this timepiece, and specifically the Orange dial; pairing perfection in my humble opinion.

For my accessory choice, keeping the Orange, Black, and White colors flowing down my wrist, with the addition of a custom-crafted bracelet, designed by Beads By Gonzo. This combination, sure to have my Wrist-Game today, destined for the top spot in the winner's circle.
