Wednesday, finds the Spinnaker, Hull - California, Tactical Edition, making its way back onto my wrist. This watch has such a bold, and different look from the previous Hull incarnations. Everything the Spinnaker design team did to enhance the look of the Hull, removes this particular model from any discussion of "dress" timepieces.
The frosted case provides a stark contrast to the galvanized rubber bezel and strap. And the pebbling effect on the dial, is the perfect backdrop for the California-style index markers and numerals, almost giving the dial the look of barnacles on the Hull of a ship; hmmm, there might be something intentional to that.
