Sunday fun-day, and it felt like time to break-out the Parnis, Big Pilot - Mechanical, with sterile dial. Three things I love about this flieger, the size (+47mm), the classic vintage, pilot look, and three, the mechanical movement.
You won't find a smoother sweep on a timepiece, save one of the newer spring drive movements, than a mechanical, hand-cranker. Such is the case with this Parnis, as the sub second-hand is a pure joy to look at. This timepiece has that classic flieger look, complete with a polished bezel, and pumpkin crown; down do the Brown leather strap, with White contrast stitching. This watch has all of the looks and personality of a vintage pilot watch, at a mere fraction of what the true vintage, and luxury brands command.
Acting as co-pilot on my wrist today, is the Averitas Time, leather, Time Saver bracelet, providing a simultaneous complement to the Black, matte dial, and leather strap on the Big Pilot.
